Biography
Born and raised in Newark, New Jersey, Anthony DeVito was exposed to a wide variety of music at a very
young age. Newark was a melting pot for music and he was growing up right in the middle of it. In 1987
Anthony received his first pair of turntables and within a few months he became the 'kid' to call to DJ
the local house parties.
As time progressed so did Anthony. In the early to mid 90Os Anthony found himself influenced by all
genres of dance music and DJs. He was listening to everything from deep house to techno. This was the
foundation that makes Anthony the DJ and producer he is today.
By the late 90Os Anthony had an impressive home studio and was DJing two to three nights a week on a
regular basis. In 1999 Anthony met friend and one of his biggest influences, Danny Tenaglia. Not knowing
at the time, Danny Tenaglia would help Anthony be recognized globally.
In 2001 Anthony remixed Ruffneck's "Everybody Be Sombody" just to give out. He gave it to Danny Tenaglia
who created a huge buzz on the remix, before he knew it Anthony was receiving inquiries about the remix
from all over the globe. One of those inquiries was from Steve Rosen who owned the rights and wanted to
give it a proper release on Strictly Rhythm UK. This was huge as it received support by heavy hitters
like Roger Sanchez, Tom Stephan and Pete Tong to name a few. The same year Anthony remixed a slew of
records for US based label i!Records.
In October of 2002 Anthony was asked by Danny Tenaglia to open at his legendary Be Yourself at Vinyl
weekly party. By the end of his set Anthony showed he had history and gained the respect of many.
Impressed with his opening set Danny asked him to return two weeks later as a fill in DJ while he
was away. This continued on a regular basis until the closing of Vinyl in 2004.
Taking some personal time away from music between 2004 and 2005, Anthony is back to work. He has a
release coming soon on Luca Ricci's Aenaria Tech label and a handful of remixes for various US labels.
